Cybertify secures new Head of Offensive Security

Cybertify has appointed Arni Hardarson (pictured) as its new Head of Offensive Security, marking a significant expansion of the company’s senior cybersecurity leadership team. Based in Melbourne, the appointment brings one of Australia’s most experienced offensive security specialists into a key role as Cybertify continues to grow its national presence.

Hardarson has more than 20 years of experience across penetration testing, red teaming, code auditing, infrastructure and network security, and adversary simulation. He has previously held senior roles at Pure Hacking, Pure Security, Tesserent, and most recently Thales Cyber and Digital, where he served as Head of Assurance.

Originally recruited from Europe 15 years ago to help develop Australia’s offensive cybersecurity capability, Hardarson has played a long-term role in shaping the nation’s security resilience. At Cybertify, he will lead and expand the firm’s offensive security operations, overseeing advanced penetration testing and red-team engagements for clients in government and highly regulated sectors.

Cybertify founder and CEO Ramtin Diznab said the appointment represents an important step in the company’s growth strategy. He described Hardarson’s leadership and technical expertise as key to strengthening Cybertify’s ability to deliver enterprise-grade outcomes with agility and precision.

Hardarson said he was looking forward to helping build on Cybertify’s offensive security services and working with its expanding team of specialists. “I’m excited to join Cybertify’s elite cyber squad, an ambitious consulting group with big plans in cybersecurity,” he said. “My focus will be on strengthening our offensive security capability and helping clients enhance their defences through high-impact, practical engagements.”

The appointment underlines Cybertify’s strategy to build a senior, experienced cyber consulting team capable of competing with larger firms while maintaining a focus on technical excellence and client outcomes.
