Google Gemini 3 spotted on AI Studio ahead of imminent release

Gemini 3, which could be Google’s best large language model, will begin rolling out in the next few hours or days, as the model has been spotted on AI Studio.

AI Studio allows developers, researchers and students to build apps using Gemini models, and it also provides greater control over each model.

Right now, the latest model is Gemini 2.5 pro, and AI Studio gives you greater control over it, including context size, and even temperature.

Naturally, Gemini 3 will first come to AI Studio before gradually rolling out on gemini.google.com

Ahead of the rollout, which could begin in the next several hours, hints of Gemini 3 have been spotted on AI Studio with references to how temperature could affect the reasoning capabilities.

“Temperature is set at the most performant value for this model” -> “For Gemini 3, best results at default 1.0. Lower values may impact reasoning,” the string within AI Studio reads, as spotted on X.

Gemini 3 reference found on Vertex AI and Nano Banana 2 is also in the works

Previously, Gemini-3-pro was spotted on Vertex AI, which is a Google-hosted cloud platform for using AI agents and building apps or products using AI.

This model is called “gemini-3-pro-preview-11-2025.”

Gemini 3 is not the only model that could drop this year, as Google is also testing Nano Banana 2, codenamed “GEMPIX2,” and it was recently spotted on the Gemini website.

This could mean that the model, which could be one of the best for generating AI images, will begin shipping as early as December 2025.

Google plans to share more details on its upcoming models in the coming days.
