As a result of the ongoing Israel-Palestine War, Jerusalem Post, an Israeli Daily, has allegedly fallen victim to a series of cyberattacks.
“The Jerusalem Post has been targeted by multiple cyberattacks this morning causing our site to crash.” Claimed the Jerusalem Post in a Cybersecurity News Update on Twitter, adding, “We’ll be back soon and will continue to be the top source of information on Operation Swords of Iron and the murderous attacks by Hamas.”
ISRO Faces Over 100 Cyberattacks Daily: S Somnath at c0c0n
“ISRO faces over 100 cyber-attacks daily”, Chief of ISRO S Somnath said at the two-day ‘International Cyber Conference c0c0n’, adding “The organization is equipped with a robust cybersecurity network to face such attacks.”, reported ANI and HT in a Cybersecurity News Update.
He also said that ISROs upcoming satellites will be equipped to detect and handle potential intrusions, “For example, if there is a ground-based intrusion attempt on a satellite, it will generate a warning to notify us and take protective measures to reject commands of suspicious nature. 18 Arrested in Singapore for Banking Malware Fraud
In Singapore, 18 people have been arrested for suspected involvement in banking fraud. This malware fraud was carried out by people aged between 16 and 47 years of age.
They were under police radar since January this year after people suffered from compromised Android mobile devices even when they didn’t share any banking credentials or OTPs, reported the Straits Times and CNA.
Blackbaud Agrees to Pay USD 49.5 Mn Settlement
Cloud-computing service provider Blackbaud has agreed to pay a settlement of USD 49.5 million for a ransomware breach. Blackbaud agreed on this settlement amount to end a multi-state investigation into a ransomware attack that occurred in May 2020.
Numerous sensitive pieces of information, including demographic data, Social Security numbers, license numbers, financial records, employment information, wealth information, donor histories, and protected health information, are included in this data, reported Associate Press and Fintech Global.
