Gain Legends International Suffers Security Breach
Gain Legends International, a prominent name in sports, entertainment, and venue management, has confirmed a significant cybersecurity breach that has compromised the personal information of an undisclosed number of customers and associates.
The incident was first identified on November 9, 2024, and prompted immediate action from the company to secure its systems and launch a thorough investigation.
According to an official notice sent to affected individuals, unauthorized activity was detected on Legends International’s IT systems late last year.
The company responded swiftly by taking certain systems offline and engaging external cybersecurity experts to assist with the investigation. Law enforcement agencies have also been notified and are reportedly collaborating with the company.
A review of the incident determined that certain files, including those containing customer and employee data, had been accessed and acquired by the unauthorized party.
The company has not specified the total number of individuals affected but clarified that those impacted either worked at, or visited, a venue managed by Legends International.
What Personal Data Was Exposed?
While Legends International has not released a comprehensive list of the compromised data, the breach notification indicates that sensitive personal information was involved.
This may include names, contact details, and potentially other identifying elements. The company emphasized that, at the time of writing, there is no evidence that the stolen information has been misused.
Legends International asserts that several cybersecurity measures were already in place, but has since implemented additional controls as systems were restored.
As a precautionary step, the company is offering affected individuals a complimentary 24-month membership to Experian IdentityWorks—a credit monitoring and identity theft resolution service. Registrations for this protective service must be completed by July 31, 2025.
The notification encourages customers to remain vigilant against identity theft and fraud, advising regular review of financial account statements and credit reports.
In addition, detailed instructions for placing fraud alerts or security freezes with major credit bureaus have been provided, alongside resources from state and federal authorities.
“We sincerely regret that this incident occurred,” Legends International stated in its letter to customers. “We are fully committed to safeguarding your information and are taking all necessary steps to address this matter and prevent future incidents.”
Customers or individuals seeking more information are encouraged to contact the dedicated call center at 833-918-5930, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST.
As the investigation continues, affected customers are urged to take advantage of the credit monitoring services and utilize the provided resources to protect their personal information.
