The dark web post, which has garnered around 200 views, includes a range of sensitive documents such as invoices, receipts, accounting records, personal data, certificates, employment contracts, and a substantial volume of confidential information.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, the threat actor has set a deadline for the publication of the data, creating a sense of urgency. The countdown stands at 5 days, 9 hours, 4 minutes, and 53 seconds from the time of the initial posting.
Seeking clarification on these claims, The Cyber Express has reached out to Honey Birdette for an official statement. However, as of the time of writing, no response or statement has been received, leaving the veracity of the data breach unconfirmed.
Who is the 8Base ransomware group?
8Base, the ransomware group allegedly behind this breach, emerged on the scene in April 2022 and quickly gained notoriety for its aggressive tactics targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across various sectors.
