An Israeli company called Nokod Security has raised $8 million in early stage capital to work on technology to secure low-code and no-code custom applications.
Based in Tel Aviv, Nokod banked seed-stage investments Acrew Capital, Meron Capital and Flint Capital and announced plans to establish a beachhead in the U.S. market.
The company and its investors are betting that enterprise adoption of low-code or no-code platforms like Microsoft PowerApps or ServiceNow will create a market for tools to reduce attack surfaces.
Low-code or no-code are methods of creating apps using intuitive drag-and-drop tools that reduce or eliminate the need for traditional coders. Now, with the popularity of generative AI and ChatGPT-like tools, Nokod notes that the use of these tools are not covered by the application security stack.Â
The company said its software provides a comprehensive view of an organization’s application inventory and helps to pinpoint security issues and vulnerabilities for remediation.
Nokod is the brainchild of former Imperva co-founder and CTO Amichai Shulman and Yair Finzi, former co-founder of SecuredTouch (acquired by Ping Identity).
