Ash Hunt has been recently appointed the Global Chief Information Security Officer at the Apex Group, which operates from over 80 offices. With over a decade of experience in the changing multinational environment, Ash offers detailed cybersecurity risk assessment insights and threat landscape.
Previously, Ash extended his expertise to various government departments in the United Kingdom and critical national infrastructure. He also crafted UK’s first quantitative framework and actuarial model to assess risk. He also served in the British Army for seven years.
Speaking to The Cyber Express, Ash explained how security issues could be curbed using comprehensive risk assessment models. He also highlighted how small businesses that cannot afford huge losses because of flawed decision-making often make the right decisions by using the available resources and addressing the issues that are causing them harm.
Ash also explained the importance of risk quantification, which may be considered forward-leaning by some and elaborated on the concept of risk management, which is nothing but decision management.
