AMP hones digital engagement to drive member growth – Financial Services – Governance

AMP is set to elevate customer solution design and digital innovation in its superannuation and investments business, creating a new leadership role for that key oversight.

The financial services company said that Julie Slapp would join in the newly-created director for growth and customer solutions role. She starts in late November.

Slapp comes from employee benefits platform operator Flare, and also previously spent eight years with BT Financial Group, including as its head of product.

She is charged with driving member growth in the superannuation and investment business of AMP – and digital engagement is seen as critical to doing that.

“Julie will ensure AMP continues to deliver exceptional customer solutions and innovative digital experiences,” AMP said in a statement.

AMP also appointed Cloe Reece as general manager of risk, compliance and policy.

Reece “operates with a strong focus on driving value out of risk and compliance, enabling businesses to take appropriate risks to support better customer experiences,” AMP said.

Reece comes from ClearView Wealth where she held the chief risk officer title. She has also previously worked at BT Financial Group and Westpac.

Both roles report to AMP’s group executive for superannuation and investments, Melinda Howes.

“Designing beautiful digital experiences to engage our members is critical to our vision in helping more Australians accumulate wealth through super and create an income stream for life,” Howes said.

“In order to innovate, we need to move quickly and take appropriate risks, supported by the right risk and compliance advice.”
