Endeavour Group has named Harinder Saluja as its new chief transformation officer, overseeing the program to separate from Woolworths systems and simplify technology.
The drinks group previously had a chief strategy and transformation officer role, held by Ilana Stringer who will step down in February 2025.
Rather than hire another chief strategy and transformation officer, it will instead have a chief transformation officer.
The transformation remit remains similar: principally to drive ‘One Endeavour’, which is the name given to the program to separate Endeavour Group from Woolworths’ IT systems, and to simplify the technology estate the group uses ongoing.
Endeavor Group was formed a demerger from Woolworths Group in 2021.
Saluja joins from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, where he was the executive director of the large ERP systems consolidation program called the Process and Technology Harmonisation (PaTH).
Other moves announced today include the departure of chief marketing officer Jo Rose, who will leave Endeavour Group after three years to move to the UK to be closer to family.
Rose oversaw marketing and customer teams at Endeavor Group, leading the establishment of its unified customer strategy after joining team shortly after the Woolworths demerger.
Rose will also continue in the CMO role until the second quarter of the next calendar year.
Paul Carew has also been appointed managing director of ALH Hotels, commencing in the new year [pdf].
Carew joins from Tabcorp where he was the chief operating officer for just over two years.
