iTnews is expanding its technology coverage by joining forces with Digital Nation – Strategy

I wanted to take some time to explain a bit about what to expect from the marriage of the two sites.

iTnews has always been – and will continue to be – a source of news for predominantly enterprise technology teams, told entirely from the perspective of end users.

We are constantly looking for new ways that enterprises are applying technology and incorporating it into their strategies and reflecting these experiences back through our coverage.

But technology plays an increasingly critical role outside of the technology organisation. Line-of-business and business units like finance, human resources, marketing, and legal/risk are finding more technology suites being specifically tailored to their needs.

Naturally, these line-of-business executives are key stakeholders in deciding how to apply technology in their domains and are leading both the implementation and the change.

Digital Nation speaks to these technology users. It also speaks to the chief digital officers creating whole-of-organisation digital strategies that touch all these business units.

In the past few years, digital has undergone a monumental shift. There was a time when every organisation was doing a digital transformation. These transformations are continuing, but digital is now very much a part of business-as-usual operations.

That alone is evidenced by Digital Nation’s highly successful Digital As Usual breakfast events and reports. Additionally, there is tight alignment between digital and technology operations. In some cases each has its own executive; in others, digital and technology comes under a single leadership role.

Given these trends, it made sense to more closely align iTnews and Digital Nation, bringing the two under the same roof.

Practically, Digital Nation readers have a new homepage: https://www.itnews.com.au/digital-nation Please bookmark it for your records.

We have also set up sub-sections depending on your line-of-business domain interest. These are HR, marketing, finance, and governance (including legal and risk).

The publication will also cover leadership movements, and emerging technologies with cross-domain application potential.

Digital Nation readers will receive a new weekly e-newsletter, sent every Thursday at 3pm AEST. Click here to subscribe to the e-newsletter and to Digital Nation special offers to learn about the latest reports and events that you can attend.

iTnews readers that want to receive it are encouraged to login and update your preferences. You will also see a Digital Nation story in our regular newsletter, sent every weekday at 7am.

Kate Weber will continue to lead editorial coverage and direction for Digital Nation.

We hope you will find the addition of Digital Nation – powered by iTnews – a valuable expansion to the technology coverage that iTnews offers.
