WaterNSW prepares for HRIS transformation – HR

WaterNSW is embarking on a human resource information system (HRIS) transformation that will see it deploy SAP SuccessFactors and decommission “legacy” HR systems.

The organisation manages roughly 40 dams around the Sydney area, supporting the water supply for over 8 million people across NSW.

The transformation was revealed in a job posting for a HR digital program director to “oversee and lead the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring its seamless integration with existing corporate systems.”

The advertisement indicates that WaterNSW has Chris21, Kronos, Power BI, and PageUp in its HR technology stack.

Chris21 is a HR and payroll package; Kronos is workforce management software; and PageUp is talent acquisition software.

iTnews understands the project is still in its early days with the project scope and funding still being finalised.

While the advertised role sets the direction for the HR transformation program, it will also be required to create relationships amongst HR, IT, finance, and operations “to ensure alignment and support for the transformation program.”

The position will also be required to head the change management work “to ensure successful adoption of new HR systems and processes, including training and communication strategies.”

WaterNSW said that governance and risk structures for the program also need to be created.
