Archana Venugopal has taken to LinkedIn to announce her appointment as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX). This new role positions her at the forefront of cybersecurity leadership in one of India’s leading commodity exchanges.

Established in 2003, NCDEX is a professionally managed online commodity exchange with a diverse portfolio of agricultural and non-agricultural derivatives. The exchange has played a pivotal role in setting benchmarks for the derivatives segment in India. Incorporated as a public limited company on April 23, 2003, NCDEX commenced operations on December 15, 2003, under the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952.

In 2015, the exchange transitioned into a deemed recognized stock exchange under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, and is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
