Australia Post names its next CISO – Training & Development – Security

Australia Post will have a new chief information security officer from next month, following the departure of long-time security chief Glenn Stuttard.

iTnews can reveal that Adam Cartwright, who is currently group general manager of cyber security and risk at Asahi Beverages, will join Australia Post as its CISO.

Cartwright has also previously served as CBA’s deputy CISO and ANZ Banking Group’s head of cyber security.

An Australia Post spokesperson confirmed the change to iTnews.

“Following 11 years with Australia Post, Glenn Stuttard has decided to leave the business,” the spokesperson said.

“Australia Post is pleased to confirm Adam Cartwright will join in August as chief information and security officer.

“Adam will bring a wealth of expertise to Australia Post from his time in cyber security across multiple industries.”

Stuttard revealed his departure in a LinkedIn post last week.

“Today I bid farewell to Australia Post after a rewarding 11.5-year journey, with the last 4.5 years as CISO,” he wrote.

“It’s been a journey marked by milestones, and I take immense pride in the accomplishments we’ve achieved as a team to safeguard one of Australia’s most trusted brands.”

Stuttard said he would “recharge before exploring new horizons”.
