Australian Data Centres (ADC) has expanded its national footprint with the acquisition of a data centre campus in Fyshwick, Canberra, marking a new phase in the company’s growth strategy. The site has been integrated into ADC’s operations and is certified as Strategic under the Hosting Certification Framework, positioning it to support government and enterprise workloads.
ADC CEO Mark Pont (pictured) said the acquisition reflects rising demand for secure, high-availability infrastructure underpinning national digital services. He noted that the Canberra campus adds capacity, redundancy and greater choice for customers operating within the capital and across the country.
The company’s broader strategy includes leveraging a scalable powered land bank supported by partnerships and investment structures to accelerate delivery of new capacity as required.
Executive Chairman Rob Kelly said the Canberra acquisition highlights ADC’s intent to scale sovereign co-location and build-to-suit data centre solutions. He said the company is focused on enabling long-term, sovereign data storage capabilities and preparing for increased requirements driven by AI infrastructure and national digital priorities.
