Cybercrime Magazine’s Radio Station Celebrates Its 4-Year Anniversary
In Jul. 2021, Newsday visited Cybercrime Magazine’s HQ and studios and ran the headline “Live from Long Island: Northport radio station rolls out round-the-clock coverage on cybercrime“, as we turned on WCYB Digital Radio aka Cybercrime Radio.
In that moment, we became the first Internet radio station to cover cyberattacks, data breaches, and cybersecurity news 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. It was an ambitious plan, but achievable given that the radio station would be powered by our popular growing Podcast.
“A lot of our programming is non-technical,” Steve Morgan, our founder and executive producer of Cybercrime Radio, told Newsday. “We want to reach everyone.”
Now four years later, WCYB Digital Radio is a solid pillar alongside our online magazine, Podcast, and award-winning YouTube channel, which recently surpassed one million subscribers.
