There are around 500,000 unfilled cybersecurity jobs in the U.S., according to CyberSeek, and Cybersecurity Ventures estimates around 3.5 million positions globally.

Dr. Diane Janosek, former executive at the National Security Agency as deputy director of compliance and chief information security officer, recently came on the Cybercrime Magazine Podcast for a discussion about careers in the cybersecurity industry.

Janosek, who also served as training director at the NSA’s National Cryptologic School, is often asked about the best way to break into our field.
