We love tending our harnesses, and I want to keep that even as the bitter lesson eats the scaffolding

Boldly going…
I feel like everyone’s treating their harnesses kind of like a garden.
They’re so different from each other. And so personal.
There are some problems with the analogy though, because while we’re getting extreme pleasure from tending our harness gardens, they also have a purpose that can be done more or less efficiently.
I’d like for us to be able to keep this dynamic, though, even as the bitter lesson eats a lot of the work we’ve done with scaffolding.
