Antwerp, Belgium, Oct. 23, 2025.
Intigriti, a global crowdsourced security provider, is delighted to announce its latest partnership with non-profit Shield vzw within the framework agreement with the Federal Public Service (FPS) Health in Belgium. This partnership provides essential support and services on vulnerability disclosure programs for critical national infrastructure (CNI) organisations such as hospitals, that now need to comply with NIS2.
Since its launch in 2024, Shield’s mission is to enhance the security maturity in the healthcare and education sectors. By creating a community within these sectors and investing in establishing sustainable partnerships with vendors for different security solutions, Shield strives to tackle the security challenges we face as a society.
“The partnership with Intigriti provides a vital cornerstone to our members’ security posture. Aside from being recognised best practice, vulnerability disclosure is also now mandatory for NIS2. Intigriti can now work closely with our members to alleviate the increased burden of NIS2 compliance paperwork while allowing members to focus on addressing the most important, verified vulnerabilities quickly,” said Wendy Roodhooft, Security Architect, Shield.
Modern agile software development and continuous deployment have improved efficiency in healthcare but pose challenges to traditional security testing. As the digital attack surface continues to expand, cybercriminals increasingly target sensitive patient data, which threatens safety, finances, and trust. To stay ahead of evolving threats, healthcare organizations are investing in innovative approaches like crowdsourced security and vulnerability disclosure and bug bounty programs to enhance protection and resilience as well as comply with NIS2.
Intigriti connects a global community of ethical hackers with customers to simulate the real-world tactics of threat actors to uncover vulnerabilities and blind spots across industries. By collaborating with ethical hackers, security teams, developers, and IT staff in healthcare organizations and education institutions can quickly identify and patch vulnerabilities, strengthening overall cybersecurity and protecting sensitive patient data.
“Intigriti is a committed partner in the Shield community, actively supporting its growth, collaboration, and continuous security improvement. Beyond providing a scalable crowdsourced security platform, we work closely with Shield members to foster engagement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence. We believe that strong partnerships are the foundation of a mature security journey that will support the Shield community and associated healthcare and education organizations to deliver continuous, proactive security testing in order to identify and address vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.” – Stijn Jans, CEO, Intigriti
