Introducing techpartner.news: A new chapter for Australia’s IT channel media – Strategy
For nearly 20 years, iTnews’ sister publication CRN Australia has been at the heart of the local IT channel, delivering news, insights, and analysis for IT resellers, MSPs, distributors and vendors.
It’s built a strong audience, fostered industry conversations, and championed the growth of the Australian channel.
However, on April 1, 2025, it will no longer be known as CRN Australia – and will become techpartner.news.
The team is proud of what it’s achieved over the past 20 years with our publication, but now it is time to take the next step and build something even better.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape a truly independent and local media platform, dedicated exclusively to the Australian channel.
At techpartner.news, everything that makes it valuable to you will remain:
- Our team of journalists, partnership managers, designers, and event and project teams remains unchanged.
- All our well-known events and other activities, including Pipeline, Impact Awards, Fast50, Channel TV, MSP Index, and more, will continue.
- Our end-to-end project team will still deliver everything from events to video storytelling for our clients.
- The content we have created over the last two decades will continue to be available.
- Channelwire, our trusted newsletter, will still be published by us.
- Our social media channels, including our LinkedIn page, built by us, will continue under our stewardship.

Our team
You can also expect new initiatives, engaging content, and an even stronger focus on supporting and growing the Australian IT channel.
Readers and partners have always been at the heart of what we do, and that will never change. This is just the beginning of an exciting new journey.
We look forward to seeing you at techpartner.news from April 1.
