Israeli Cyber Fund Glilot Capital Raises $500 Million

Israeli venture capital fund Glilot Capital on Wednesday announced raising $500 million to expand support for startups building cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise software.

Mainly raised from large financial organizations in the US, Europe, and Israel, the fresh capital boosts Glilot’s assets under management to over $1 billion, and will be deployed across Glilot Seed and Glilot Plus programs.

Glilot was founded in 2011, and has become one of the top-performing venture capital firms, with 22 exits to date. Its portfolio includes At-Bay (cyberinsurance), Cider Security (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), CyberX (acquired by Microsoft), IntSights (acquired by Rapid7), and Noma Security (AI security).

“These outcomes highlight Glilot’s ability to identify market-defining startups early and provide the resources and strategic connections needed for accelerated growth,” Glilot co-founder and managing partner Kobi Samboursky said.

In addition to injecting cash into startups, Glilot connects early-stage firms with Fortune 1000 companies, helping them accelerate their go-to-market strategies, and provides them with deep sector expertise.

Glilot believes that, while global VC fundraising has slowed, cybersecurity and AI are resilient sectors amid increasing security risks and widespread adoption of AI among enterprises.

The fresh funding coincides with Glilot appointing seasoned senior financial executive Rinat Remler as its fifth partner. She is also a partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners, and will be responsible for accelerating Glilot’s global scale and strengthening portfolio support.

“Rinat brings deep operational expertise and a strong track record of working alongside founders to scale globally. Her addition strengthens our ability to provide hands-on support for entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey,” co-founder and managing partner Arik Kleinstein said.
