San Francisco-based Armadin, an AI-powered red teaming startup founded by Kevin Mandia, has officially launched with $190 million in seed and Series A funding led by Accel, with participation from Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and follow-on investment from 8VC and Ballistic Ventures, SecurityWeek reports. The Wall Street Journal reported in December that Armadin had secured $24 million in seed funding amid talks of a much larger round. Mandia will serve as the company’s CEO, with co-founders Travis Lanham as CTO, Evan Peña as Chief Offensive Security Officer, and David Slater as Chief Architect.
Kai, a San Jose-based company that offers an AI platform for IT and OT security, has emerged from stealth with $125 million in funding led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from N47 and strategic investors. The company says the funding “will accelerate go-to-market expansion, deepen AI research, and scale the platform to meet growing global demand.”
Israeli data loss prevention startup Jazz has emerged from stealth with $61 million in seed and Series A funding led by Glilot Capital Partners and Team8, with participation from Ten Eleven Ventures, Merlin Ventures, Encoded Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and angel investors. Jazz says the funding “will power the company’s vision to become the industry’s top DLP platform – scaling globally, expanding enterprise adoption, and building the engineering, research, and go-to-market capabilities needed to lead this new era and own the category.”
Sunnyvale, California-based sovereign security operations platform provider Cylake has launched with $45 million in seed funding led by Greylock Partners. The company stated, “Cylake plans to collaborate with a select group of design partners as it develops the platform, with product availability anticipated in early 2027.”
Israeli exposure remediation platform provider Reclaim Security has raised $26 million in a Series A round led by Acrew Capital, with participation from QP Ventures and Ibex Investors. The company stated, “With the new funding, Reclaim plans to expand its engineering organization, deepen enterprise integrations, and accelerate go-to-market initiatives across North America and Europe.”
Irish payment security firm Evervault has raised $25 million in Series B funding led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Next Play Ventures, and new investors including Operator Partners. The company says the funding “will be used to expand its encryption infrastructure, invest in product development, and grow its engineering and product teams.”
San Francisco-headquartered security data analysis firm Scanner has raised $22 million in a Series A round led by Sequoia, with participation from CRV, Mantis VC, and angel investors.
San Francisco-based automated pentesting firm Escape has secured $18 million in a Series A round led by Balderton, with participation from Uncorrelated Ventures and existing investors IRIS and Y Combinator. The company says it will use the funding to enhance its platform’s AI capabilities and hire more employees in engineering, research, and go-to-market across the US and Europe.
Colorado-based cyber resilience firm Circadence has secured $16.4 million in an investment round led by Seneca Partners. The company says the funding “will accelerate product innovation, expand global go-to-market execution, and deepen strategic partnerships across the United States, Asia Pacific, and allied markets.”
Italian IT, OT, and IoT security firm Gyala has secured €4 million (US4.6 million) in an equity financing round led by Deep Ocean, with participation from Terna Forward, CDP Venture Capital, and Ventive. Gyala, which owns the Agger platform, stated, “The newly raised capital will accelerate Agger’s roadmap, with a focus on advanced OT visibility, autonomous defense capabilities, and intelligent response orchestration. The investment will also enable the strengthening of the technical and R&D teams, reinforce go-to-market activities in Italy, and consolidate the platform’s presence in critical sectors—including energy, industry, healthcare, and defense—while establishing solid foundations for international expansion.”
Fairfax, Virginia-based cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance firm IntelliGRC has raised $3.5 million in a seed round co-led by Kyle Hanslovan (co-founder and CEO of Huntress) and Blu Ventures. The company says the funding “accelerates product innovation, expands AI-driven capabilities, and scales go-to-market initiatives focused on enabling service providers to deliver high-caliber Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance as a Service (GRCaaS) at scale.”
New York City-headquartered automated cyber defense startup Quantro Security has emerged from stealth with $2.5 million in seed funding from Google’s Gradient fund, SecurityWeek reports.
German embedded systems security company emproof has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by Auriga Cyber Ventures, with participation from Dutch SecFund and existing investors, including High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and TIN Capital. The company says the capital “will be invested in building the international sales team, expanding compliance frameworks – including ISO 27001:2022 certification – and further developing the product platform.”

- Google has completed its $32 billion acquisition of New York-headquartered cloud security provider Wiz.
- OpenAI has announced its intent to acquire Promptfoo, a San Francisco-based company with a platform that remediates vulnerabilities in AI systems during development.

Google has completed its $32 billion acquisition of New York-headquartered cloud security provider Wiz. Google said in a press release, “Wiz delivers an easy-to-use security platform with deep expertise of cloud environments and code, connecting to all major clouds and helping prevent and respond to cybersecurity incidents. Its capabilities complement Google Cloud’s leadership in cloud infrastructure and deep AI expertise, including AI-powered threat intelligence and security operations tools. Together, Google Cloud and Wiz will provide a unified security platform that improves the speed with which organizations can detect, prevent, and respond to threats. It will help them stay ahead of the curve by detecting emerging threats created using AI models, protecting against threats to AI models, and using AI models to help security professionals hunt for threats more effectively. The platform will also provide a consistent set of tools, processes, and policies across all major cloud environments at every layer, from code to cloud to runtime.”
OpenAI has announced its intent to acquire Promptfoo, a San Francisco-based company with a platform that remediates vulnerabilities in AI systems during development. OpenAI stated, “The Promptfoo team, led by Ian Webster and Michael D’Angelo, has built a powerful suite of tools trusted by over 25 percent of Fortune 500 companies, along with a widely used open-source CLI and library for evaluating and red-teaming LLM applications. Together, we will continue building the open-source project while also advancing the integrated enterprise capabilities within Frontier.”
Canadian quantum-safe cybersecurity firm Quantum eMotion has acquired the technology assets of California-based SKV Technology and Jet Lab Technologies, including the SecureKey platform. The company stated, “This acquisition transitions Quantum eMotion from a provider of quantum entropy to a full-stack cybersecurity architect….By integrating its Sentry-Q orchestration layer with SecureKey’s enforcement software, the company can now offer a quantum-resilient security stack that spans the entire digital ecosystem—from cloud and networks to endpoints and individual chips.”

Darktrace has appointed Ed Jennings as President and CEO, effective March 23rd. Jennings most recently served as CEO of Quickbase. Darktrace’s former CEO, Jill Popelka, stepped down at the end of January.
