This new unified Teams app is now available on Windows 11, Windows 10, and Mac, streamlining the user experience and eliminating the need for separate applications.

This feature enables users to access their work, personal, and education accounts in side-by-side windows within a single application, enhancing productivity and reducing the need to juggle multiple apps.
Microsoft has introduced a new feature that simplifies joining meetings for users with multiple Teams accounts. When joining a Teams meeting, users can now choose their preferred account or join as a guest without signing in. This flexibility makes it easier to participate in various types of meetings, whether for work, personal, or educational purposes.
The unified Teams app now offers free personal use features to all users, including those on Windows 10 and Mac. Users can sign in with a personal email to schedule free meetings and invite participants using a simple join link.
Additionally, the app introduces a new “Community” feature, allowing users to create shared spaces for group activities such as fantasy football leagues or school parent organizations.
The updated Teams desktop app supporting all account types is now available for download. Existing Teams users will receive an automatic update to their desktop app. Enterprise administrators can rest assured that any sign-in restrictions they have set for their users will be respected in the unified app.
