“We’re very excited to be launching a new podcast series where we’re going to be digging deep into AI-powered social engineering,” Brian Long, founder and CEO at Adaptive, shared in a video interview at the recent Black Hat USA 2025 Conference in Las Vegas.
The new monthly series on the Cybercrime Magazine Podcast will provide thought leadership around protecting organizations from AI-powered cyberattacks, deepfake personas, and other digital threats.
“Joining us on the podcast series, we’ll have a mix of all sorts of guests, folks like myself and other people working in the cybersecurity and social engineering space, as well as others dealing with this next level of threat,” added Long.
Today’s cybercriminals utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to generate hyper-realistic phishing attacks, ranging from indistinguishable deepfakes to emails, text messages, and phone calls that are more sophisticated and harder to detect than ever before. The new podcast series comes at a time when knowledge on this topic is desperately needed. Stay tuned for the first episode!
Adaptive closed a $43 million funding round this year, co-led by OpenAI and Andreessen Horowitz. The investment marks OpenAI’s first outside backing of a cybersecurity firm.
