NSW’s Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is looking for a new CIO following the departure of Bianca Jordaan.
Jordaan had held the role of chief information and digital officer for three years but has “resigned to take up a new opportunity”, the department confirmed.
“The department is now searching for new candidates to take on the large, challenging CIO role, a spokesperson said.
“The role will involve overseeing the operations and modernisation of information technology services, systems, applications and infrastructure for multiple systems.”
The DPHI was formed at the beginning of 2024 from the split of the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.
As part of a shared service agreement, the CIO of DPHI will oversee IT provision for the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – which was also formed out of the component parts of Planning and Environment.
The shared service also extends to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, bringing it up to a total of 20,000 users.
In a job advertisement, DISP said the CIO will be tasked with delivering “customer-oriented, innovative ICT solutions, ensuring optimal integration of diverse legacy systems into modern, scalable platforms”.
