Software Maker Billtrust Appoints Ankur Ahuja As SVP, CISO


Billtrust, a prominent player in the B2B accounts receivable automation and digital payments market, has announced the appointment of Ankur Ahuja as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Ahuja will spearhead Billtrust’s cybersecurity and cyber assurance initiatives, reinforcing the company’s commitment to ensuring the security and integrity of its customers’ data.

Prior to joining Billtrust, Ahuja served as the CISO for Fareportal Group, an entity that owns multiple online travel brands, for an impressive six-year tenure.

Before that, he accumulated a decade of experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he successfully managed numerous cybersecurity projects spanning the telecommunications, fintech, travel, and e-commerce industries.

Billtrust, renowned for its role in facilitating expedited payments and streamlining invoicing processes, assists leading global brands in transitioning from traditional paper-based practices to efficient electronic billing and payments.

With a substantial customer base of over 2,600 worldwide and having processed invoice transactions exceeding $1 trillion, Billtrust excels in delivering tangible business value through its deep industry expertise and unwavering focus on customer-centric outcomes.

This appointment comes on the heels of Billtrust’s recent acquisition by private equity firm EQT in a deal worth a staggering $1.7 billion. The collaboration with EQT is poised to empower Billtrust to expand its market presence and unlock new opportunities in the evolving landscape of digital financial solutions.
