The AI Quality Paradox | Daniel Miessler

When excellence itself becomes the marker of AI, not human talent

AI Quality Dystopia

Nano Banana Pro has shown me a type of AI dystopia I hadn’t thought of before.

During the soon-to-be good-ol-days of 2023 to 2025, when we saw low-quality output from someone, we could safely assume that they were using AI. And if you saw extremely high-quality output, you would know that it was an actual human who put the effort in.

I think this is about to reverse.

When you see something really, really good…you’ll assume it was AI.

Not that they are good. Or that they hired someone good.

But they used AI.

So the data:

  • The sign that it’s AI won’t be that it’s bad
  • The sign will be that it’s good

That has a lot of implications I’m not comfortable with.
