Vantage Data Centers has tapped long-time Australian and regional Equinix executive Jeremy Deutsch to lead its growing Asia Pacific operations.

Deutsch is well-known in Australia’s data centre industry, having been both sales director and country manager for Equinix Australia.
He also spent the past five years running Equinix’s Asia Pacific operations.
Vantage Data Centers said in a statement that Deutsch “will drive Vantage’s regional growth, including strategy, market development, sales, construction and operations.”
“As we move into our next phase of AI-fueled growth in the Asia-Pacific region, we are fortunate to welcome Jeremy to our team and look forward to working with him to continue meeting the demands of our customers across APAC,” executive vice president of North America and Asia Pacific Jeff Tench said in a statement.
The company lists eight locations for data centres in the region that are either built or under development; one of those is in Melbourne.
Deutsch posted to LinkedIn that the move brought to a close a “23-year journey with Equinix, a company that has been at the centre of some of the most rewarding moments in my career.”
“I’m especially proud of the work we’ve done in APAC, where we not only expanded into numerous new markets but also supported thousands of key companies with their digital infrastructure with the amazing support of the great team at Equinix,” he wrote.
