Flipper Zero maker unveils ‘Busy Bar,’ a new ADHD productivity tool
Flipper Devices, the company behind the popular Flipper Zero, has launched an open-source productivity tool called Busy Bar, designed to help reduce distractions for people with ADHD.
People who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can have trouble focusing, get easily distracted and disorganized, act impulsively, and often suffer from restlessness.
BUSY Bar is designed to relieve those symptoms by eliminating distractions as much as possible while also helping those with ADHD function through timed bursts of productivity.
It features an LED display, fidget buttons, and a Pomodoro timer, and can be synced with the BUSY app for iOS and Android to mute notifications and control smart home devices to optimize working environments.
When set on ‘BUSY Mode,’ the device adjusts settings for calls, live streaming, or other programs to display a personalized busy message along with a countdown timer. Notifications across all connected devices are silenced automatically to avoid disrupting the user while focused.
The smart home integration features are compatible with Apple and Google Home, so the device can control lighting, music, blinds, and other connected devices and adjust them to increase productivity.

“We aim to create a fun, customizable, and practical tool that helps you maintain deep focus,” stated Pavel Zhovner, co-founder and CEO of Flipper Devices.
“Context switching consumes a lot of energy—when you’re interrupted while writing an important email or deeply focused on a task, whether in an open-floor office or working remotely at home, it becomes much harder to refocus and continue where you left off.”
“This is where BUSY Bar comes in. It helps you reduce distractions and manage interruptions from others, allowing you to stay in the zone.”
BUSY Bar is the second standalone hardware device launched by Flipper Devices, following their initial product, Flipper Zero, which has sold over half a million units and generated over $100 million in revenue since 2020.
Pre-sales for BUSY Bar have already opened through the official website, with the price set to $249.
A Kickstarter campaign, which will include special offers and perks, is also set to launch in the upcoming period.
Flipper Devices told BleepingComputer BUSY Bar development is in its final stages, and the first units will be ready to ship before the end of the year.
“We’re aiming to launch the device on Kickstarter this summer. The product is already in the EVT stage, meaning the hardware is significantly more advanced than Flipper was at the time of its crowdfunding campaign. As a result, we plan to begin shipping as soon as possible after the campaign concludes.” – Flipper Devices
