Fortinet enhances FortiAIGate platform with NVIDIA accelerated AI security capabilities

Fortinet announced integration between its FortiAIGate platform and NVIDIA AI infrastructure and software to secure enterprise AI deployments at scale.

The integration delivers zero-trust protection for AI workloads, data, and autonomous agents across cloud and data center environments. FortiAIGate provides real-time visibility into AI activity while helping organizations securely build, deploy, and scale agentic AI applications without sacrificing performance, governance, or data sovereignty requirements.

Designed for inline deployment, the solution combines GPU-accelerated security with low-latency protection and centralized monitoring across multiple AI deployment models.

“Enterprises everywhere are racing to adopt AI, and security has become a critical enabler of that innovation,” said John Whittle, chief operating officer at Fortinet. “Together with NVIDIA, we’re delivering a solution that helps organizations secure and optimize AI deployments while maintaining performance, controlling costs, and meeting data sovereignty requirements. FortiAIGate combines Fortinet’s AI-driven Security Fabric with NVIDIA’s high-performance computing and AI factories to stop threats, from malicious prompts to data exfiltration, without disrupting AI workflows.”

“The accelerating shift toward autonomous AI agents is creating unprecedented demand for secure, high-performance enterprise computing platforms,” said Justin Boitano, Vice President, Enterprise AI Platforms, NVIDIA. “By integrating its FortiAIGate solution with the full-stack NVIDIA AI platform, Fortinet provides zero-trust security and real-time governance, reducing threat exposure by shortening response times.”

Fortinet said FortiAIGate is designed to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption while maintaining runtime security for large language models, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol servers. Powered by NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, NVIDIA Hopper architecture, and the NVIDIA Dynamo inference framework, the platform delivers high-performance AI security with minimal latency, enabling organizations to scale AI-driven applications without compromising performance or service reliability.

FortiAIGate also supports AI sovereignty through self-hosted deployment options that allow enterprises to build, deploy, and govern AI workloads using their own infrastructure, data, and workforce. Leveraging NVIDIA Nemotron safety models, the platform monitors user and device interactions and logs prompts and responses tied to suspicious activity, helping organizations meet local compliance, privacy, and data residency requirements, including GDPR obligations.

The platform extends zero-trust principles into AI environments by managing AI model traffic and enforcing security guardrails on prompts, inputs, and outputs. FortiAIGate is designed to prevent prompt injection attacks, reduce the risk of data leakage, and block toxic or unauthorized AI-generated content. By understanding business context and enforcing policy controls, the platform aims to ensure AI-driven actions remain secure, compliant, and trustworthy.

Built on NVIDIA AI infrastructure, FortiAIGate is intended to improve operational efficiency and lower total cost of ownership by delivering high-throughput AI security with reduced hardware and energy demands compared with CPU-based approaches. The GPU-accelerated architecture helps organizations maintain low-latency protection for AI-powered applications while reducing server load, power consumption, and the need for additional hardware resources.

FortiAIGate is also designed for multitenant AI deployments and large-scale enterprise environments. Using NVIDIA virtualization and multi-instance GPU technology, the platform can partition GPU resources into isolated instances with guaranteed quality of service and fault isolation, allowing multiple AI workloads or customer datasets to run securely on shared infrastructure without impacting performance.

FortiAIGate supports flexible deployment across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and edge environments. It is available as a GPU-powered appliance for data centers or as a virtual appliance or as containers on NVIDIA-certified systems. Regardless of form factor, organizations benefit from consistent protection and centralized management. Its inline deployment between applications and AI models also helps meet data sovereignty requirements.

Fortinet is establishing a new standard for securing AI ecosystems. By combining zero-trust enforcement, real-time threat detection, and AI-specific guardrails, FortiAIGate enables organizations to confidently scale AI, from advanced analytics to autonomous agents, with security and compliance built in. This collaboration reinforces both companies’ commitment to secure-by-design innovation in the AI era.
